System Console UI

The host console manages installation and the machine supporting the robot. It is a React/Vite frontend backed by FastAPI. Navigation uses hash routes; unknown routes fall back to Overview. The top bar exposes primary pages and a More menu, including links to Robot UI and VS Code. API health and WebSocket state are independent indicators.

Read status before acting

  1. Open Overview and confirm API connectivity.
  2. Check the SDK service state separately from host resource availability.
  3. Open the relevant page and inspect its current state before applying a change.
  4. For asynchronous operations, follow progress to a terminal task result. Refreshing the page does not cancel a server task.
  5. Recheck the affected resource after completion; retain logs when a task fails.

Network changes

Ethernet endpoints include device selection, apply, confirm, rollback and per-device testing. Confirm connectivity before completing a change; changing the interface used by your browser or SSH session can disconnect that session. Wi-Fi exposes connect, forget, disconnect and rescan operations. Internet sharing has separate status, enable and disable endpoints.

Audio routing

The backend distinguishes default-device selection, application input/output choices, volume, channel maps, routing connections, presets, test tones, reset and container visibility checks. A host device appearing in the list does not prove container access. Routing updates run as tasks and trigger refreshes of device, routing and container-check state.

Servo actions

Port scans, register reads, configuration writes, neutral reset and motion are separate operations. Select the correct controller and robot configuration before writing or moving. A successful API request is not proof that the intended physical motor moved. Detailed field definitions are in the console request model reference.
